What is Spotlight?
A non-musical production for students in a more intimate setting.
In 2020 Spotlight presents William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing.
Who can participate?
Students entering 6th through 12th grade in Fall after the CTE season is complete.
June 24 – July 22, 2020, noon-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. No CTE July 3.
Evening attendance: Master Class Recital July 20. Dress rehearsal July 22. Performances July 23, 24 and 25 at 7 p.m.
Weeks 1, 2, 3: Students will take classes that touch on each aspect of the visual and performing arts at the intermediate and advanced levels. Students will also be able to choose one master class in dance, theatre, music, or art taught daily by CTE faculty members.
Week 4: Students will participate in more intense rehearsal, with activities designed to strengthen their performance abilities.
Week 5: Our final week will consist of Master Class Recital (evening of July 20), rehearsal, and performances.
Registration opens February 1st 2020
July 23, 24, and 25 at 7 p.m. There will be a cast party after the final Showcase peformance on August 1.
