Katelyn's Story
Katelyn May has been involved in theater arts for nearly 30 years. At age four, her love of theater blossomed and has only grown since. Katelyn has performed throughout the Puget Sound area, most notably in Tacoma, Olympia, and Seattle. Some of her favorite roles include Lala Levy in The Last Night of Ballyhoo (TLT), Nora in A Doll’s House (New Muses), Julie in Miss Julie (New Muses), Dale Prist in Five Lesbians Eating a Quiche (TAO), and Emilie in The Moors (SPSCC).

Katelyn has been fortunate to share her love of theater through education for the past ten years. She has taught camps and classes for students of all ages and grade levels at many theaters in the area, and has directed students in both plays and musicals. Katelyn also teaches ballet and jazz at Inspired to Move Dance Academy in Lacey.

Katelyn has always been passionate about teaching and education. She holds an Early Childhood Education certificate as well as a Bachelor’s degree in English for Secondary Education. She taught Early Childhood Education from 2012 to 2023 and has worked at several schools over the years—public and private—both in the classroom and in administrative roles. Katelyn plans to further her education to better serve her students.
