What is Showcase?
Showcase is a musical theatre program where students work together to rehearse and perform a full-length, Broadway-style musical. Students receive education in vocals, acting, choreography, and ensemble performance while learning how a full production comes to life from rehearsal to stage.

The program culminates in three live performances onstage at the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts, complete with costumes, lights, sets, and an audience of family and friends.

Showcase helps students practice:

Confidence in being seen and heard — learning to take up space and use their voice.
-
Teamwork and collaboration — working as part of an ensemble where every role matters.
-
Resilience and follow-through — practicing, refining, and staying committed through a full production.
-
Creative problem-solving — adapting to direction, choreography, staging, and unexpected changes.
-
Communication skills — listening, responding, and expressing clearly with others onstage and off.
-
Leadership and responsibility — showing up prepared, supporting peers, and leading by example.
-
Self-awareness and empathy — stepping into characters’ perspectives and honoring others’ stories.

We create an environment where students feel safe to try, explore, and shine.
